I entered and exited my room through a separate door leading to the deck, where I looked out over the canal. During my stay, I ate the home-cooked breakfast in the morning and enjoyed supper in the evening.
We stayed in a two-story cottage with a balcony that overlooked our private courtyard and the communal pool. After exploring the French Quarter, we relaxed by the pool which sat tucked away in the lushly landscaped grounds. Sean greeted us upon arrival and ensured we had everything we needed during our four-night stay.

Transport stop at the doorstep
I boarded the street car directly outside of the apartment to reach the central areas of the city. We relaxed in the modern space after spending the day walking near the French Quarter.
Tom provided a daily music list each morning during my stay, which helped me plan my evenings in the city. I sat on my balcony off the room in the evening and walked two blocks to the streetcar line to reach the French Quarter. Mini-quiche and pastries arrived at breakfast, which I ate in the sitting area while listening to jazz music in the background.
I spent my evenings on the rooftop terrace after exploring the Treme neighborhood. Fruit, cookies and drinks sat out in the self-serve kitchen for guests to enjoy at any time. Todd shared historical stories about the building while I relaxed in the common areas which functioned as a museum.

Streetcar access across the road
I parked my car in the driveway after navigating the steep hump at the entrance. The streetcar stopped directly across the street, so I rode it into the center of New Orleans.
I parked my vehicle at the front door while I unpacked my bags in the house. The host stocked snacks, toiletries, and fresh washcloths for my use. I found dog food available for a pet and baby food for a child as well.
I ate fruit, granola, and local goodies kept stocked in the common area. I also drank coffee on the balcony in the morning while planning my day with a loaner guide to the city from the lobby. During my stay, I slept in the Rose Room on the second floorwith a separate kitchen area for morning breakfast.
We walked to the Ruby Slipper on Decatur for breakfast after checking into our condo. We used a building code and a room code for access to the unit. We recharged in the peaceful bedrooms while staying on Decatur.
I utilized the gold fixtures throughout the master bedroom during my three nights in the cottage. TVs stood in every room while I spent time relaxing in the back yard area.
I used the clawfoot bathtub in the Mardi Gras room after spending time in the backyard pool and jacuzzi. The kitchen area kept us supplied with ice and filtered water throughout my stay. I parked my car directly in front of the building every night while exploring the Bywater neighborhood.
